sounds like airram's powerwire. Appears to be an inline resistor to fool your pcm into thinking the readings at the intake are different. I am willing to guarantee you won't get 40 hp. I would guess maybe 10.

I noticed most of the people that bought it and left feedback said they gained around 10hp.. I guess its not too bad for a $20 mod...

I love when guys say they're truck/car/bike is X-amount faster, or more HPs after bolting some piece of crap on, and it was all determined by their "***-Dyno 1000".......

"The ***-Dyno", that is classic. I am definitely going to borrow that.

What's with the vegi oil? My favorite useless mod is the tornado... thats just funny. But the powerwire does the same thing that my Jet chip that I put in my dakota did, requiring the changing of the thermostat and the running of higher octane.
I'm sure your right about them guessing about the HP they are getting. Problem I have is: I have a 2005 Ram with the 4.7 engine and can't get a Superchip for this years engine. (I think I'm right about the Superchip) I'm just trying to get all the hp I can out of this truck... lol I know, I know.. "I should have bought the Hemi" I will next time...

The gig with alot of "Chips", that I've seen, is they're simply diodes/resistors that go inline with certain sensors, to fool the computer with decreased readings, in order to make the computer run richer.
I've seen it done with O2 sensors, MAP sensors, Intake Air Temp sensors....the biggest problem is, that unlike a tuner that actually modifies a MAP for the engine's performance, throughout the rev ranges, the diode cuts the Ohms/Voltage contimiously, and what might be good at 3000 rpms, sucks at idle, or at 4500 rpms.....
Knowing what the reading is and how much to decrease it, and what diode/resistor to use is half the battle.
Just becareful with whatever you buy, as to not damage your truck or make it run like crap, when what you really wanted was just better performance.......{{wink}}

I wouldn't buy anything from someone who doesn't know how to spell or use proper grammar. I can see how their research has led to very vehicle specific applications.
This chip is guaranteed to give your car (depending of car type and motor) 30 to 40 more HP...
