i live out in the country and most of us just do our own work or ask someone we know to help out. his dad put it on for him... it was his 3rd or 4th install of them. i dont think there is much to it besides having the right tools.
I'm not worried one bit about the install. It's VERY straight forward and simple. And since I've gotten some pretty good feedback about the ride quality, I'm not worried about that anymore either. The only thing I'm worrying about now is the alignment. I just want it to be a painless experience and taking it to a normal mechanic shop only to find out that I have to take it to a custom shop is something I'm trying to avoid. I'd do the alignment myself if I could, but that's something that needs to be finely tuned and calibrated.

I just got this email from performancelifts.com after I asked them about the spacers on Monday. Looks like it's just a waiting game now. Thanks for all your input, guys.

Jesse,
Ride quality does suffer, but for $85.00 bucks there's nothing else that will level your truck and cost the same. If you want a good ride quality and lift, spindles are the way to go.
Yes, alignment is quite easy, any alignment shop should have no problem re-aligning the truck after the spacers have been installed.
The shipping to Las Vegas is probably around $8.00 bucks for the pair of spacers.
Please note, the spacer is now being sold as a 2.5" lift spacer.

Their website doesn't specify. They only go up to '06. They are advertising that their spindle kit will work, but you'd have to be willing to shell out $800+.

I don't see why it wouldn't. I don't think Dodge changed anything in the front suspension from '06-'07.

I did a little digging. I found Daystar's website and they are specifying that these will work for the 2007's. They say that, the shocks need to be replaced, but that is false, at least for the 2006 and 2007 models. You can replace the shocks, but they should be the stock length because the shocks are the only thing that limits upper A-arm movement.

Here's the link for Daystar's kit :

I'm glad I found it to so now I can do some bargain hunting. Hope I helped.

Here's a link for the spacers that fit our trucksfrom a different site. $84 shipped.

I found this based on the part number from Daystar. I'm waiting on a reply from performancelifts.com whether this is the part number for the kit they are listing.

They all say aftermarket shocks! My question is why and if the new shocks are a must then what kind would you need to get?

I took my 05 to a spring shop. They put new spings on, shocks, and got it aligned for $500 bucs. Its sets perfectly level now.

I'm going by what performancelifts.com says. For 06's and 07's stock length shocks are required to prevent upper control arm and ball joint damage. Aftermarket shocks can be put on, but they need to be the stock length.

Kwille, $500 is way too much for me. What I'm looking at is $84 shipped for the spacers and at the most $70 for the alignment.
