I have a 2005 Dodge SLT 1500 Quad Cab 4.6 V-8 and sometimes (NOT ALL THE TIME) when I use the Keyless entry, the alarm goes off. I have checked the sensitivity setting under the steering wheel. I think I have it set ok - .. Has this happened to anyone?? Help !!!!

I may need to re-word my post. My problems is: When using the Keyless Entry sometime the alarm goes off. I don't even have to touch the truck. I just hit the unlock on the Keylessentry and it unlocks the doors and the alarm sounds. The red LED for the alarm also keeps flashing until I start the truck or lock and unlock the doors with the Keyless entry.

i have an 05 reg cab SLT also with factory alarm/keyless entry. mine only goes off if the doors or hood is opened or if the door locks are unlocked from the inside the cab. i dont think mine has ever gone off from hitting the windows. not sure it would, think the factory alarm is low grade and my not have an shock sensor.

If I lock my truck with the keyless, and then insert the key into the door to unlock the truck manually my alarm goes off. [:@]

 

i have the same problem with my 05 durango limited

 

wow I am kinda glad i didnt get the factory alarm sounds like a POS good luck

 

On my 05' Laramie with factory alarm, I have had it go off several times if I press the unlock button and grab/pull the door handle too quickly. I have learned to wait a couple of seconds 'before' pulling the handle - seems to work.
