Default Fuel tank registers empty @ times

Hey everyone! This is my first post but i have pulled some great info from the site. Thanks! My truck seems to register empty @ times even with at least half a tank of gas. I'm not sure if it's a faulty fuel sensor or what. Any ideas? Also, how much weight are these trucks actually rated to tow? I have an 03' qc 1500 4x4 with factory tow package and 5.9L 360. Thanks!

Sounds as if you have an intermitantly bad fuel sending unit, or a wire that's loose or has a bad connection. As for your towing GVWR, look in your owner's manual and it'll tell you specifically what you can tow, and what your truck is rated for.....

Hi Brawler,
Welcome to da forums.
I am in agreement with OldMoparMan, could be a loose or corroded wire, a connector going bad, mopar gremlins oh wait that was AMC my bad.

As for towing check this site out and see if it helps.
