Been babying the engine for break in and to see how much milage I can get. Every now and then I get on the gas. First it downshifts once, and then a second later it _really_ downshifts and takes off. Is there a way to improve speed of downshift? It seems like it should be related to how far you press the pedal and not how long you are on the gas.


Ive got about 500 miles and the overhead is telling me around 17-20mpg depending on the roads. In another week the tank will be empty and I can figure out the real milage. I figure 17-18 mixed highway with some local.

This is a quick truck.
