Pulling in reverse
I have the front tow hooks and was wondering what the limitation was whenpulling with them in reverse? Do I still have the same torque ratings and is it hard on my transmission and gears? To be honest I'm not really sure why you would use the front tow hooksinstead of pulling from the rear hitch?

NO the way the ring and pinion gears are cut they can transmit more power going forward than they can in reverse before they fail.
The tow hooks on the front are for when you are stuck and someone else is pulling you.

Ahh ... pull me out. Let's hope that never happens. I'll have to hang my head down in shame ... especially if it's a Ford or Chev.
