Cruise control
Hi, I just bought a very clean used 04 Ram with the Hemi. This is my second time owning one but, that's another story...Everything works great except the cruise. When I press the button on the steering wheel, nothing happens. No light in the dash like my other truck and no cruise...I checked the fuses under the hoodbut, I cannot find one specifically for the cruise. Any other ideas? I would think the cruise would have a fuse somewhere but, where is it? Thanks!!!
There's always an outside chance that the switch on the steering wheel is defective. Barring that, I'm afraid you will find that the trouble is in the PCM as there is no fuse.
If the truck is still under the 7/70 warranty, this should be covered as this control is part of the power train.

The cruise control is located within the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) which is a component of the powertrain. My dealer replaceda faultyPCM on my truck, under the warranty.
Although the module was replaced because it was creating a different problem than you have, that should make no difference.

I had the same problem on my 07. I'm not sure you can apply the same fix that I did on yours since you are using an 04 but there's an orange switch on the electrical input that plugs into the top part of the throttle body. You may need to remove the resonator box. I toggled it on and off and ever since then I've had no problems with cruise control. Like I said, this may not be the same setup on the 04 but it might be worth a shot.
Here's a pic of what I'm talking about. Notice the electrical switch on the top of the throttle body. Like I said, this may or may not work for you but it may be worth a shot.
