Default Pyrometer, boost limits??

Just had guages installed on my 2007 Ram 3500 with 6.7 diesel and automatic. We use the Dodge for pulling our 14,500 pound 5th wheel. Due to weight we want to make sure we don't exceed maximums and due damageto the engine or transmission. Therefore, what would be safe limits for Transmission temperature, Pyrometer reading (sensor is mounted after the turbo), and boost reading?

Thank you for any help.

Jim

Default RE: Pyrometer, boost limits??

I don't know them off the top of my head for the 6.7 but I can tell you that posting in the CTD forum will get you answers real fast and you'll notice that all of us over there are mad cool. although a bit strange at times all cool. as long as the trailer is within specs of what the truck is rated to then you should be fine. your EGT will read slightly lower than what many consider their EGT because after the turbo there is a diff because the turbo soaks up some of the heat in itself.
