do Helix TB spacers do anything?
I have seen product discriptions in Summit and other parts catatlogs and have seen internet ads for Helical Throttle Body Spacers, they all say that you can get lots of extra low end torque and improved fuel economy. My problem is that I have never talked to anyone or heard anything first hand about the usefulness of such products.
I was looking on e-bay and found one that is about half the price of anything else that I have seen,
Anyone have some ideas??

Not really. On an older vehicle with a carburetor, a spacer would add extra volume to the plenum and the swirl effect would help keep fuel in suspension, but on a modern FI engine where the fuel is put directly into the cylinder the benefits would be hard to measure.
I actually added the helix to a vehicle I once owned.
It was dyno proven to do absolutely zero. If you are looking for a whistling sound then the Helix is the way to go, other than that it would make a good paperweight.
Sorry
