Default Removed cat now throwing engine code P0420

I imagine it must be the the o2 sensor throwing a code, I was wondering if there is anything I can do to stop it from throwing my engine light on without having to clear it every couple days with my programmer. I've tried a simulator but it didn't work and we thought it was maybe defective so i got it replaced but that still didn't work! Anybody have any ideals!!

What I did with my off road Y-pipe was i drilled a 3/8 hole into the y pipe and welded a 2 inch piece of pipe centered over the hole. I welded a O2 bung to the other end of the pipe and it worked.. I havent thrown a code yet. It will limit the amount of vapors the O2 picks up so much it thinks there is still cats in it. Btw dont use Spark plug non-foulers as spacers, works in some cars but our O2's are to long for them and it will not fit..
