You are right thinking that everyone here was big on saving gas. It never hurts to do so. However, as you yourself very well know, the 6's are for a flat fact not getting very good fuel milage! Yes,though that sucks, i believe the little mouse motors have real potential for tuning. Here is the point, A) Due to extremely bad resale value, most of us are STUCK with our new'06 & '07V6's. B) If we are going to get the fuel milage closer to the V-8 boys than what a V-6 should, we might as well build the crap out of them & smoke'em at the next red light! (Non hemi trucks that is) C ) The full coverage insurance on a V-6 is, in most cases, allot cheaper than for the Hemi's.
Just a little somethin gto think about.

PLUS, Turbo'd V-6's sound really cool!

i agree, people laugh when you tell them you have a full size with a V6. id like to see its potential, i mean its no performance engine like a VTech or anything, but im sure if you turbo charged it, you could squeeze somewhere around 300 HP and run 14 or 15 second 1/4 miles, am i right?

14-15 sec 1/4 mile times would be hopefull at best. Even with 300 hp, the hp. per lb ratio is still somewhere around 15.33 - 17.5 LBS per HP. (Depending on cab,bed & 2wd or 4wd configuration) All of the fast cars at our local 1/8 mile track seem to be at or below 13 lbs/hp. The REALLY fast ones are at about 8 LBS per HP. At that rate, you would have to generate somewhere around 550 HP do do very well! HEMI can realistically reach that goal. The turbo'd V-6 would just be up to STOCK standard 360's power. Good,,,,,,,but not impressive.

Anybody know what kind of psi the stock engine can handle? I read other posts that talk about adding turbos, sometimes you have to change heads and other stuff. But if you keep it stock it can handle like, I think 3-8psi, not sure.

I actually asked that ? here. I was told I couldnt do that. Different tranny on HEMIs, blah blah.
I found a Hemi swap on ebay, it was hemi, trany, computer, wires, everything for like 2 grand. It should still be on there.

And yeah, a Hemi block couldn't handle much more than 8. Thats why some guy was talking about doing a twin turbo set up but it would be a waste of time because he would have to do some serious engine mods.
