well boys i just joined the ****ty tranny club was drivin and jumped into passing gear and damn i thought my tranny was gonna fall out and then i get home and smell the fluid which by the way looks good but smells like burnt popcorn wifes dad who runs his own shop says yep its starting to go take it to a dealer and get it replaced so at 03 with 76000 i have heard they where bad but damn only complaint and thankfully it happened within my 80000 warranty.

 

Sorry to hear, luckily you should get hooked up from the warranty. I know that split second feeling when it happens is absolutely horrible, its like accidentally taking a drink from your spitter and realizing a second too late.

 

Auto or manuel ?

 

its an auto but hey it could be worse i guess its not all the way gone yet which is bad cause i want to wait till the last possible leg on it to get a brand new one you know so my guess is it will last untill the warranty is up then pow and gone so i dont know what to do now except drive the bitch hard but i dont want to do that my luck something else will go and the tranny will stay just bad and not broken good

 

That sucks, but hey at least it happened within the warranty. I've had my computer, tv and xbox all take ****s on me this year and luckily alll of them were still covered under warranties. So I say if its gonna happen, do it while Im still warranted. [:@]

 

wifes dad was tellin me that if dodge wont replace it because of it not being all the way out will take some oil out and let it get hot and burn it up so whateve works i guess

and can you describe the slip when it happened (never had an auto fail on me) did it over rev or rev and not go anywhere or what?
