Default 07 Mega 6.7 4x4

First post and need some imput. MY 07 Mega cab 2500 has 2000 miles on it. My problem is around 65-70 I get ever so slight shaking or shimming that "appears" to be coming from the back end. I've added a 2" leveling kit and 285/70-17 BFG AT. It did it with these tires and the factory tires. I did not have a front end allignment simply because the front end doesn't pull or vibrate. The local off road shop tells me the straight axle trucks don't need to be realligned with the 2" leveling kit. Anyway, I'm just trying to see if anyone else has this issue. This is my first Dodge and I'm not sure what to expect. My last two trucks were Fords........they ride good but I couldn't keep the second one out of the shop.......oh well!

Thanks for any help,

simple simple simple. first welcome my CTD brother. You will notice that there is a CTD section of this forum where all us diesel freaks hang out. and everyone there is great. same with these guys here in 3rd gen but well you just gotta see the diesel side and you'll know what i'm talking about.

I believe you are getting what is called the "death wobble" I'm also a jeep guy and it's a thing that happens when you add bigger/ more aggressive tread tires. Usually happens to nething with solid axles all the way around. It usually does come from the front. also any time you modify the suspension you need to do an alignment and it's a cheap procedure to make sure everything is ok.

one question is did it do this when the truck was stock before the leveling kit?? because leveling kits only modify the front suspension i believe so therefore if anything changed it affects the front. usually a alignment will fix it or you may need to buy a steering stabilizer.

I don't have a CTD, but I have the 5.7 HEMI Mega 4x4. I also did the 2" leveling kit, and had an alignment done, it was way off after adding the 2" leveling kit.

So I'd get that done FIRST! Most places any more offer a lifetime alignment for 2x the cost of a regular alignment. I chose this option since the truck is brand new, I figure i'll get my money's worth over the life of the truck..
