Default Question on towing?

I have a 07 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 lt Hemi. I going to be towing a 27 ft travel trailer up to June Lake 6-7 hour drive. Do you tow in tow haul mode anytime your towing. My Ford didnt have this feature and would just use the overdrive button when coming down grades. Any info would help.

Thanks

I would only use it when you engine is consistently shifting gears. Going up any hill is a certain yes, you should use it, but once you get going, you can disengage it. It basically works on the same principle as the OD button. It keeps the truck from shifting gears and heating up your tranny oil.

I agree. If your tranny is shifting a lot, engage the tow haul mode and save your tranny. Works great. Red
