Default Wipers

I just recently bought my 05 dodge ram daytona edition. I have been very pleased with it. Just the other day it started sprinkling out and I clicked the wipers one time and.... nothing happened. Tried it a few more times and still nothing. I then turned it all the way and they started wiping on the constant settings. OnceI turned them off, the intermittent mode would once again work. It is odd because it does not always do it. It has only done this a couple of times. Also, occasionally when using the intermittent wipers they will be going along at a normalinterval and all of a sudden wipe two or three times and go back to intermittent. I know these trucks space the intermittent intervals differently at higher speeds, but I do not think they should be acting like this. It sounds like a faulty relay but I am just looking for some input before I go back to the dealer. They love to find other things wrong with the vehicle once it is purchased.

yeah ihad the same problem with my truck, it's an 04...took it to the dealer, told them what I thought was the likely cause without doing any testing (wiper switch) so they proceeded to replace the wiper motor, that didnt work so the next time they replaced the FCM, that didnt work so the 3rd time they replaced the PCM and that didnt work either....i replaced the wiper switch and it's been working perfectly since then......try replacing the wiper switch and it might solve your problems

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Hopefully that will fix mine, too.
