I traded in my 2002 FORD F250SD4X4 for this truck trust me FORDS have lot of know on going problems Including Tranys motors that blow out spark plugs I know about that one $5000.00 later Glad I had the warentty on the truck at the time Bad Brakes the list go's on and on I know anouther Dodge truck driver sold his FORD also for a Dodge We both can say This hands down DODGE is a much better Truck.

The 5.4 and the V-10 Blow Plugs out, the Power Stroke 6.0 Litter blows flames out the tail pipes V-6 very under powered My buddy has one, they make a aftermarket Trany build up kit for the at $3500.00 the 4X4 front wheel bearing go out alot the brakes sucks, Electical shorts the wiring loam get picthed betwen the thhe cab and the frame, Ect Ectwacth there Fourm closer read back a couple months you be glad you got a DODGE.

Ford tought I use to be a hard core Ford Truck person but unless they get there BS fixed I never own anouther one The older Ford trucks were greatt the new ones they can keep them.

I also had a 1997 F350 Dulley SC 4X2 with the 7.3 Power Stroke Loved that truck wish I still had it the only problem I had with it it ate front tires they lasted about 20000 then had to replace them this was cheaper than rotating them do to you had to demount a re mount the tires on the rims, We had to turn that truck in due to 09-11-2001 I was working for the airlines at the time lay off's.

I also had a 1994 F250 SC 4X2 with 460 it was a great truck just used to much gas traded it in for the 1997 F350 Dulley.

Be glad you gotten a Dodge and be very glade jummping for joy you did not get any GM product.

I have already had the 1st gear slip and gring thing too. Also still getting used to the catch before it goes all the over to reverse.

I had a 2000 Ford F-150 V6 two door and was a major pos. The driver and front window's leaked water at the car wash, the A/C made a popping and cracking noise, and they never could get an electrical gremlin figured out. All of this discovered within a week of driving it off the lot! Oh yeah, it was made in freaking Mexico!!! This Dodge is head and shoulders better than that thing ever was.

Well I took a look under my dash and seen that there was a switch where the clutch pedal stops so could it be that we have a electronic clutch or is dodge that bad with trannies?
