a wash, and some new goodies (pictures)
They last a good while. They just stick on. You may get minor scratches, but not much noticable. I had mine for a year, but somehow lost one on my rear passenger door and would have to buy a whole new set just to replace the one. So I just spent about 4 hours and $80 in paint to paint them all.. LOL Saved my *** a lot o money there..
Chopperzen... I checked out your gallery before and really like you truck. The trickest thing in it was that color matched dash area around the H/U and temp controls... what product did you use? I saw Dupicolor or whatever they are called has that interior plastic spray paint, would you use it? Sorry if I am hijackin this thread.
uhh.. i think i just hijacked it now that you asked me that! LOL I used the Duplicolor Adhesion promoter as the primer. It's a clear coat that bites plastic well and dries tacky. If you are comfortable with what color they have available to match your trucks color, then yeah. You can do it!! I had to take off the whole center dash piece and remove the AC and CD. Then had to tape off around what I painted and mask the whole thing. It sucked taping it cuz it didn't stick too well to Armorall.
Sweet... how close do you think the color is to your exterior... is green green or does it vary slightly. I wouldn't think it would matter too much, but I am going to go with those neoprean seat covers, black with red insert and I want the interior to match correctly. It would be harder to contrast an interior color vs an exterior color, I would think.
I've painted the interior the same as the exterior. It's a metallic green, Timberline. I would be more concerned about matching the red to your upholstery. You can try out some different colors on something to see which one matches best.
thanks guys.
they are the putco ones.
i got them at S&M truckworld which they installed for me, seemed real simple it's got an adheasive on it and they just slapped them on. 99 bucks installed, and the tailgate was 29 installed
i will get closeup pics for you guys in a little bit.
