Default srt 10 hood ???

Ok i got a dealer price on a funtional SRT 10 hood and as i looked at it it dawned on me........ What do people do when it rains? If the whole design of any funtional hood scoop is to draw more outside air directly into the air filter system, what happens when you add water to the mix? No air filter i know of filters water. What are solutions and arguments.? Dont want to buy if i cant drive in the wet!

As long as you have the air from the SRT hood go into a box then to your intake you will be fine. If you use the direct kit I have see where intake fits up to the hood and there is a filter inline to the air intake it will get the filter wet. I also think that would lower your airflow.

I used to smoke when I was younger and all I can think of when this comes to mind is when you would get the butt wet and try to draw any smoke through the filter. Once the filter got wet you might as well have tossed it, little to no air would pass through.

Oh yeah, don't let people make you believe that you will get any air pressure boost from the straight intake. At 65mph you will only be getting roughly 1/10 of 1lb of boost because the hood scoop can't compress the air.
