Default tail lights

I don't know if i'll get stoned for asking this but....
The only thing on my Ram i'm NOT fond of on my '07 Ram is my tail lights, i don't dig the two prutruding circles in each, i actually like the '06 tail lights better.
They look like a direct fit but does anyone know for sure and idf the bulb sockets will line up?

I remember reading the posts about that and i think people were sayin they do fit... But you have to re-run wires... the harneses don't match up...
Or you can change the look with these..... I've got a set on my truck... here... take a look.... http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/a...not/Before.jpg

I might be alone on this one, but I love the new taillights. I've been looking around trying to find if there's anyway I can get them to work on my '05. The general outline shape looks to be identical but I'm not sure about mounting holes and wiring. The wiring part doesn't worry me but the mounting holes do. Has anyone retro fit a new set on an '05? This will be my next upgrade if it's possible.

the new covers are supposed to give a better light distribution, if i remember correctly. As for my opinion, its the guy in the other lane that has to stare at them, so no biggy for me, lol

I agree. What brake lights? I don't see any brake lights. Red
