Default RE: New HIDs

Ive been going everywhere tryin to find H13 Hi/Lo HID kits that would work in my truck. i found a shop about an hour from my house that said he could get them to work. he said my truck needed special digital ballasts that normally come in mercedes and other high end cars. so i dropped about $500 on them but he still couldnt get them to work. they would just strobe. so i gotmy money back and just gave up.

Also my fogs are 9006, which are very easy to find. so i bought a set of 9006 HIDs before i even started looking for the H13's. I installed them but everytime i turned them on my radio would static and i couldnt hear anything. so i figured that wasnt too good for the truck so i took them out.

ezluva if you could give me any info on where you got yours i would apprieciate it.did you get theHi/Lo kit? cuz i heard the single beam H13 will work. but i dont want that.

9007 bulbs are what i used. I tried H13 and they don't work. Maybe the same for you.

i put 9007 single bulbs in mine plus the 9006 fogs. it eliminated the highbeams and there is a lamp out light on my dash, but i don't really mind. these lights are insanely bright, everyone knows it's me when they see me on the road :-)
as for strobing, i've never had a problem...

Hey ezluva where did u get your kit from?
Yea, where did you get yours? I've heard of alot of problems when going with the HID's, but I"m looking to do it anyway. Do you have any problems with the lights strobing (flashing)? What about the Lamp Out light on the dash? How hard was the install?

Thanks,
Chris
I got mine from this site www.xenonspecs.com and also ordered their relay harness with resistors.

Hi TraptuR
Thats the same kit as mine.
I fitted it and all I got was the dreaded pulsing on/off on my 03 Hemi.
Did you buy the cancellor kits or did you doanything else to get these suckers to work?
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Al.

HIDs are pretty cool looking, i dont know about the fog HIDs but that would be pretty neat. I want to get a strobe light set for my ram. I think thats cool and illegal, but mostly cool

Just Put HIDs on my 2006 , 10000K in stock housing. Had to do some massaging to get the buld to fit. Looking for a good set of HID foglights, any suggestions ?
