rear end noise
hey guys i just finished up a trip from atlanta to tallahassee with a 6000lb trailer in tow. When i got off my exit i noticed a loud thumping/creaking/grinding noise coming for the rear axle area, but it only happens when i turn and sparactically when driving straight. I havent gotten a chance to check under the car yet but i was seeing if anybody had any ideas? i.e. rear end, u-joint, brakes, axle shaft? thanks guys

is it still under warranty? if it is just take it to the dealer. If its not try to find out exactly where it is coming from. Do you have LSD? If you can narrow it down to the pumpkin, pull the cover off and look inside for anything broken or floating around in there.

Sounds like the dreaded broken "C-Clips". If you have stock LSD, I'd almost bet thte farm on it. Hanson's right on it, pull the pumpkin and you're going to find broken pieces of metal.

It does sound like the "C-Clips". Do a search on "C-Clips" and you will even come up with some pictures to show you what you are going to find. Get her to the mechanic quick! Red
