I owned a 2004 1500 4x2 4.7L with a 6" Lift and 35" tires. I sold it to a friend and since he bought it the check engine light came on w/ the code, Transmission Control System Failure. When he drives the truck itrev's high and then the transmission kicks in hard. This is only in 1st gear, if he shifts manually the truck drives fine. What is wrong with the transmission and what can we do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
