Hey all - cool forum!

My brake light and ABS lights came on, and after reading about it, Ibought a new speed sensor for the differential. I replaced it the part, but the lights are still on.

Any thoughts on what else to try?

have you checked to see if your throwing any codes? i would try checking the wiring all the way back to the speed sensor. Maybe it got damaged somewhere.

 

I haven't checked for codes - I assumed if there was a code, there'd also be a check engine light. yes?

I can check the wiring. Maybe I didn't make the connection to the new sensor? Hadn't thought of that - I may try re-seating that connection.

 

Most of the time you will get a CEL. But not 100% of the time. I've found a few stored codes when messing around with my superchips that i never saw a light for. I've just made it a habbit to check for codes whenever soemthing is wrong.

 

I guess it can't hurt to check.

 

Ok, I've checked all the wiring - nothing obvious, I reseated the harness to the speed sensor, checked the brake fluid levels, checked all the fuses....reset the computer.

still comes on at around 20-25 mph.

speedo works fine.
