Default Tranny Question

Hello

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 V8 (5 speed automatic transmisson).

When I shift into reverse I hear the transmisson make several small clicking type noises. The transmission goes into all gears and moves fine in all gears(no hesitation); however, when I put it into reverse it make this noise.

Is this normal?
Is it the tranny just moving some planetary deals? (Sorry for the technical wording).

Yes it's normal. My 01 4.7L Dakota did it, and my new Hemi does it too.

Mine does it most of the time going to reverse, sometimes going to drive, but otherwise works fine.
