Magnaflow on a Ram 2500
I do not have the cat-back system but I do have a Magnaflow muffler. I chose to save a couple of hundred dollars, by buying the muffler only, since the factory tailpipe is already stainless steel and 3" mandrel bent from the factory. I like the way it sounds, sorry no soun clip, and theimproved throttle response, gain in power, and gain in fuel economy (about a half mile per gallon)make it that much better.

Magnaflow is a great product. I am very happy with the sound and performance of mine. I've had the mufflers for about six months and got the high-flow cats about three months ago (they didn't have the emissions-legal ones, when I bought the mufflers).
Was it a simple job just to change the muffler? Was it a direct fit muffler? How long did it take to get on the truck? Also how much did cost to get the muffler?
Thanks,
Zack

I had a muffler shop do the work. They had to add about a six inch length of pipe to connect the Magnaflow to the factory tailpipe. The muffler, including installation, cost $185.00.
