Default MDS ???

I've been reading about the MDS here on DF, but I havent read of this specific thing happening. When my MDS kicks in it feels like the tranny is shifting almost (even though I know that it isnt). I'll just be cruising along down the highway and there is a noticeable "jolt". I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same experience, or if anyone thinks that this is cause to worry??

thats the way the truck with MDS that i test drove felt. As soon as it would kick in, it felt like it would downshift and the RPM's change. I didnt like it thats why i went with an 04.

On my 07 with MDS I can hardly ever feel it reduce to 4 cyl. I do see the RPM change some. However, I can feel when the other cylinders kick in. There is a little bump when it happens. Not much of a bump but you can feel it. Give it just a little gas and it brings in the other 4 cyls.

I agree, it is slightly noticable. Not by feel for me but by sound. Since I put a flowmaster on it is a distinct sound when it goes from MDS to non MDS or the other way around. I most definately don't "feel" it when it goes either way but I can distinctly feel it going into passing gear.

In our 2007, I can't even tell when it is on. The only way I know it is on is because I check my MPG... lol. So yeah. Other than that, I can't tell by sound and there is no jerk and the RPM's don't change either.
