i have a 2005 daytona i just purchased, while looking at many pictures everyone had a hood scoop.
the one i bought does not, is this a special model or was the orginal hood replaced, the truck has only 4800 miles on it.
it is a standard cab with four wheel drive, silver.

 

every daytona i ever seen had a scoop,like you said maybe someone changed the hood

 

it's just an ABS molded pastic peice that is held on with 3M double sided tape....go to the junk yard or look on ebay....but yes every daytona i've seen has always had one

 

daytonas have srt 10 hoods. not the fake *** rumble beestick'em on scoop. If you have a regular hood than it has been replaced. Some one must of stole it and it was replaced with a cheaper stock hood.

 

Are you saying the insert is just missing or do you have no scoop at all?

If the insert is just missing I would look on Ebay.

If you have the "normal" Ram hood I would wonder if it is a real Daytona. Should have ground effects, hood, wing, decal and special interior (with badge and build number), 20" rims, 3.92 gears and of course the Hemi.

I have considered putting on the Daytona decal and wing on my Hemi, but then I think about tonneau cover, which I already haveand wing issues. I would have to buy a new cover. All for a wing anddecal. No thanks.

 

It has the ground effects and rear wing and number plaque on the dash it also has the hemi motor.
I am going to ask the dealer what happened to the stock daytona hood.

they are the same as the srt hoods which is NOT abs plastic with 3m tape its a one piece hood

yes they did make 4x4 daytonas

 

meh, far be it from me to know 100% for sure...everyone we had back home had the plastic one...course things are pretty screwed up in iowa too
