I got the single side sweep. It is what I have on my other truck and I love the low deep sound. Reminds me of the sound of the boat at the river. One way of another that small section of pipe is coming off today. If the heat does not work then I am going to cut it.

If you cut it off, I know down here, you can buy a small piece of pipe from Advanced Autoparts for like $6.00. They have all kinds of sizes as well that will help you out. Good luck.

OK, took your advice and I did a length wise cut and I was very careful not to cut through the other pipe. Just used my hand grinder with a metal cutting pad. After some cool sparks I was able to hit it off with a hammer Now I have a sweet looking and sounding exhaust. Perfect mix with the K&N CAI.

Question Given my truck is an 07 I was really surprised on how rusty the clamps and exhaust were. For those that replaced their exhaust did you see the same things?

I used a Sawzall, and made quick work of it. Auto parts store had a small peice of pipe and two clamps that fit right over the cut pipe and the new pipe. Good luck!
