"A swiss army knife... with wheels." lol. "and what do we have here? A 45 year old Land Rover." hahahahahahaha!

Yeah, I won't lie, German engineering really pulled it off here!

My truck is 2wd so I'll stay on the pavement, however my last vehicle was a 1999 Jeep Wrangler that would go anywhere you wanted to take it. I was Stationed in Germany for 2 years and never saw anyone drive offroad over there. Offroading is a true American Sport and an True American vehicle is the only way to go.

If you take the price of the ram, get the price difference in the cayanne and then add that to your truck in mods. It will out perfrommost anything out there.

For Toyotas they listed the Tacoma but not the 4Runner? It offers a 275ish hp. v8, 5spd auto, plus the Sport AWD option gives you fulltime AWD as well as selectable hi/low 4WD with locking center diff (driver controlled), hill descent, and an XREAS suspension option that makes it super stable on road. It's body-on-frame, not some unibody "jacked up car" construction. If you're going to list a Grand Cherokee, you've got to include the 4Runner.

For 08, the Lexus version of the 4Runner gets the new 5.7 v8 from the Tundra. If that goes into the 4Runner as well, its sales are going to soar. Another 100 horsepower never hurt anything!

Oh - and in that Top Gear test they never went anywhere that I couldn't go in my stock Ram. I saw nothing that would keep me from making it to the top right along side their "holy" Land Rover. I think my Cooper Zeon LTZs in 305 width would be up to the task.

FYI guys, if you read the first paragraph of that listit says that the list in in alphabetical order, not in preference of any vehicle over the other. On that note, even though I own a Ram, I'd have to go with the H1. Being an Army man myself, I can attest that it is a very capable vehicle, if it is maintained properly with a trained driver and is used for the role it is intended for.

Read the first paragraph? Why would we want to do that? It's better to go off half cocked and debate points with less than all the facts.
