hey guys. just got a call from the garage and he said everything that was ordered for my front end was wrong!!!! my truck is in pieces right now and i got to get these new parts fast.

could somebody please tell me what is the size of the front diff on a ram 1500 ... thanks

 

1955-some early 2002's are DANA 44. Most 2002's through present is Chrysler 8" IFS10 bolt.
Unless you have a MegaCab, then it shares the same 9.25" AAM front end with the 2500 series...

 

thanx Hammer.i wanted to check here to make sure cause i wasn't too sure myself (d44, 8, 8 1/4) i talked to my shop guy andhe said that the partslooked like d44 or d60. i called the guy i ordered the parts from and he said he's going to take care of it and run the parts directly over to the shop. i did a general internet parts search and it turned up as 8". now why couldn't my parts guy figure that out. it's his business to know that stuff!!!! even though it's not really my fault i feel bad for the shop guys. when i dropped off the truck i said it's a total swap andi got all the parts ready to go. nowmy truck is in there taking up a lift. doesn't do much for me either cause i use the truck for work too. so pissed........wish i could have done it myself.
