Megacab speaker boxes
I can't seem to find anything about boxes to fit nicely in the truck. So I turn to my second family for some info. I need some ideas on what to do. I was thinking of either doing something under the rear seat or up within the headliner. The problem I see with the rear seats are that I would probably have to remove the seats to actually build something that would work. I really like my headliner idea though. As you know, the megacab has about 12 inches more length (not sure though but really long), there is an area in the headliner towards the back of the cab that I think I could easily have something built and have everything mounted on the roof. I am not a big bass music listener,so there will be no talk of large speakers, but I do want a little more sound. So I was thinking of maybe a couple of 8" subs with a small 200-300 watt amp. If I go with the headliner project, I will be having someone else do that job.... Well guys, I need the good, the bad and the ugly on this idea. Any other ideas would be great too. On that note: I need to retain my storage that is behind my back seats...
i thought about moving the back seat forward about 6 inches...that would stillgive it plenty of room for people to sit...best way i can think to use that extra mega cab room. if it work you could possibly fit 15's behind those seats! it might would maybe work?
I would say just get a descent single 10" sub. Foget about 2 8's. You could get 2 6's? JL makes a 6.5" sub. 2 of those would give some punch and they require a tiny *** enclosure. .15cu/ft. Not a typo, it's 0.15cu/ft. You could fit 10 of those suckers back there....lol I dunno what the deal is with that last post of a couple of 15's. He clearly didn't read your post! Idiot
The two 8's would sound good, without all that bass. The headliner idea sounds cool, but it might be alittle loud for people setting right under the speakers. If I did'nt want alot of bass, I would just go with one 10" under the seat. One 10" would really make a change in the sound of your system, and not take up much room.
