2005 vs 2004 Ram 2500

What changes were made to the 2005 Ram 2500 diesel truck compared to the 2004 year? Thank you.

none....same frame axles amd body since 2002, h/p torque numbers for the 5.9 are the same

i think the only thing they changed was the badging on the tailgate......

There is 2 different motors, the 03-04, and the 04.5 - 05, then there is the 06-07.

the 04.5 and up motor is called the 600 or 600 series.

The 04 has a option for the ho motor which will produce 325 hp and 610 tq and the other is like 20 or so shy of those numbers. otherwise pretty much same.

04.5 + 05 offered a 325 hp motor as jimmy said, but anything before 04.5 would have the 305 hp motor.

You can get the HO in the 03's, mine is '03 with the HO, 325/555
