anyone have the curb weight for a 2006 ram 2500 reg cab 4x4 with a 5.7 hemi? if it's not under 5500 i can't buy it because in new york state it has to be under that weight to get passenger plates, so i wanted to be sure before i bought it that i could regisrter it without trouble.

 

I will look at my truck, same as the one your interested in, than post again, but I bet a 1500 quad cab is going to be close in curb wheight. I know nothing abought New York sate motor regiestries ( I'm in Canada )

door sticker on my truck says 8650 GVWR, 06 2500 reg cab 4x4 5.7 six speed ...

 

i thought gvwr is the maximum allowable total weight of a roadvehicle or trailer that is loaded, including the weight of the vehicle itself plus fuel, passengers, cargo, and trailer tongue weight? i just need to know the truck's unladen weight.
