Our legal front tint limit is 35%. However, a lot of newer vehicles have some very minor factory tint. My 2007 Tahoe has a factory front UV tint of 70%. Therefore when i put 35% on the front it made the net around 25%.

Our cops have really been cracking down on tint! I just dont want to pay to have the windows tinted, then get a ticket and have to take it off or have them redone.

By the way this is a 2007 SLT quad cab. Can anyone tell me if the front windows have any tint at all and what percent? Thanks.

 

I think they have no tint at all. The way I always been able to tell on lightly tinted windows is place a white sheet of paper half behind the window and half in the open. If the paper is a different color behind the glass, it's tinted. I have an 07 QC. The paper did not change color even behind the windshield. A clear winshield with a few dots at the top does not constitute tinted glass. It cost me $640 to have the front door glasses and windshield replaced 3 days after I bought the truck.
