Window problems.
Got a question for you guys. It appears that the passenger side, and rear driver/passenger sides of my trucks windows won't go up or down when the button is activated. I tried the window release button on the drivers side door, but that doesn't appear to be the problem. The drivers side works find. Any idea's?
Did they all stop working at the same time?
Do they not work from the switches at the respective door or don;t work from either switch when pushed?
Also, in a quiet setting check to see if you can hear a hum when the switch is activated. This is a sure sign that the window motor is bad. It means it is gettng voltage to operate but seized and will not move. The motor will just hum. If you hear nothing, pull a door panel and put a meter across to see if you have voltage to the motor. No voltage, start looking at switched first, then fuses, then cut wiring.
This should give you something to start with.

OK, there is no hum at the switches....basically there is nothing at any of the 3 switches=Front pass/Rear driver&Passenger.
The only switch that works is the drivers side. HansonHVAC mentioned something about the switches not being activated. Do you think the switches are not working? Could it be possible that all three (3) switches would stop working at the same time? If so, why didn't it stop the drivers side from working?

take your switch panel out of the door. Now theres 2 ways you can do this. You can pull the wires out and check resistance across your switch, or you can leave the wires hooked up and check for any voltage coming out of the switch. This will let us know if the switches are working or not.
If all three windows stopped working at the same time, I would definately look at the window lock switch on the drivers door. That is assuming that the drivers switch will work all 4 doors and not just the drivers door. If that is so you should look for a common feed wire or common ground.

It's amazing...Now all of the windows are working..The button which is located on the drivers side was pushed in, and released several times in the past, and it didn't work... Now, it's working...Must be a short at the source.. What do you guys think?
