New to me hemi, some ? for ya
Hey all, im new here but trying to do my research. I just recently switched from Ford to Dodge after owning a first gen cummins for a while. While my late model 150 and first gen cummins 250 were great trucks I needed the whole package so I bought a 03 QC Hemi 4x4 (off road model). I love it so far but have some questions. It has 183,000 road miles, yes you read it right so I need to know what kind of services I should do to keep it running topfor a long time to come. The third day I had it acode popped up. So I cleaned theK&N and LIGHTLY reoiled and cleaned the sensors and throttle body. All has been good since. It has Flowmasters on it already. I have another150,000 mile warranty on powertrain but dont want to get stuck in thebackwoods whileATVing 2 states awayand not be able to drive home.
1)What maintenance should I do?
2) Will synthetics hurt me at this mileage?
3)Anything out there to give me better fuel economy? I heard something about a chip or tuner?
The only issue I have had aside from the dirty throttle body is I have a crazy vibration that jitter the whole truck at 70mph. I believe it to be a out of balance tire but not sure what to look for w/ the rear end c-clip problem.
Thanks for everyones patience if youre still reading this. -Josh

i'd do everything so that you have a point of referece for the future. definately flush the radiator, flush the tranny. new plugs/wires. drop the differential cover and add new fluid. wouldnt hurt to run it in for an injector service. walmart only charges 19.99.
