Default most perfered lowering kit ???

i'm looking for a kit that wont let the rear sag down further than the front andone that doesnt bottom out over bumps(new orleans roads suck). money really isnt an issue. i'd rather pay for something realy nice. also one other question, i know alot of kits will make you take off the rear tail pipes due to axle clearance and have an exhaust shop make something. i really like my borla cat back so i'd like to keep it. please let me know what you guys like the most and why, also where would be agood place to get it.

thanks in advance
mike

yeah you can find a 2" lowering shackle for the rear and it's a pretty nice peice....i have a 2/4" McGaughy's lowering kit on mine....problem i had with it is the exhaust exit was in the way and needed to be cut.....course you could redo the very last 2 ft of it and make it exit a lil farther back...as for bottoming out...ha good luck....my truck hits the bump stops quite a bit but i'm gonna do some messin around and move the bottom leaf to the top and made it will give it just a lil bit more travel and not bottom out so much...i got my lowering kit on ebay

i swear i have seen lowering kit with different left springs and front spindles as part of the kit. have any of you seen this ?? i've also seen where the rear shackel had multiple holes in it so you could adjust the rear spring up or down to get the stance you want. i love the stock stance, i just want it lower

along the same lines, are there ANY lowering kits that DONT require the cutting or modifying of the frame/undercarriage etcof the truck? all im reading (so far) is that there must be some cutting, etc to some part of the truck and i dont want to do thatbecause i may want to put it back to stock height to sale one day.

most lowering kit dont require any cutting or modifications. i'm looking for one that gives a good ride, that i dont have to redo my exhaust, and that it wont lean back when its done

the McGaughy's 2/4 kit requires no modification of the frame

the ride with mine would be pretty good if I had different shocks other then the stock shocks...if you get these Belltech nitro dop shocks it will improve the ride alot....as for the exhaust, if it exits in the stock location, then good luck cause as far as i know there isn't any lowering kit that won't affect the exit location (however i have heard the Gibson cat-back will work with a lowered truck) and mine doesnt lean back either

so your saying that once lowered, you cant get the exhaust to go over the axle anymore to exit out the right rear without getting noise ???

no thats not what i'm saying...i'm saying that with an exhaust that exits in the same place as the stock exhaust the leaf spring will hit it when going over bumps....if the bend for the exit is made farther back and then the bend is sharper then it would be fine...get what i'm saying? lol
