fan clutch

my 02 truck is showing the code for the fan clutch relay but my truck doesnt even have a fan clutch its electric fan can anyone help thanks ?

I had the same problem with my 02 last fall. I took it to the Dodge Dealership and it cost me around three hundred to fix the fan.

You have an electric fan with a relay for your A/C fan, that's over the condenser, and you have a Fan Clutch, that's manual, mounted between the waterpump and the fan blades. It works thermostatically with a bi-metal spring/fluid drive system. No relay what so ever.......

Seeing that it's the "Fan Relay", it would be for the electric fan for the a/c. (fan on the left-driver's side)

The dealership gets $242 for a fan clutch. NAPA gets $59 for the same thing.....[:@]

Not sure about relay prices. CHeck your fan for obstructions or even if it works (wired manually) before just buying a relay. A bad fan motor will cause relay failure and produce the same code, in some instances. Simple troubleshooting will tell you the problem.
