Are my lugnuts made out of tinfoil or something?

Are my lugnuts made out of tinfoil or something?
I was doing front brakes on my 1500 thisweekend and the lugwrench that came with the truck just rounded the lugnuts like it was too big or something. None of my sockets fit on the lugs very well, I had to hammer one on just to get the tire off. Should I get some new ones?

ORIGINAL: Pirata
The lugs are standard nuts with a chrome cover over the outside.

When I did my front and rear brakes/rotors, I replaced every lug that was damaged. (8) You'd actually be better off with new, chrome lug nuts that don't have a cover at all......
I use a 7/8" deep, 1/2" drive 6-point socket and do them by hand, despite the temptation to get out the airgun and fire up the compressor.

RE: Are my lugnuts made out of tinfoil or something?
I had te same problem with my lock nut, I guess it cracked when I was putting on my new wheels. I went to the dealer to get them to give me a replacement on warrenty. I thought for sure something that small would not be a problem but they said no and offered to sell a new set of 4 lock nuts for only $95 Canadian. Oh also the after market part with the same number from your local tire shop is copper or something with no threadsfor the plastic chrome looking cover. So to geta matching replacement you will have to buy a new set.Go to your local tire shop and buy aset of nice lugs for half the price and twice the quality.
