Default Dodge winch cost?

Hi everyone,
In looking at the 2007 Ram booklet, they list a winch for the 07 Ram (except for a Diesel). I assume that it is the same winch setup as is stock on the PowerWagon? However does anyone know the cost of the full winch setup from the dealer? How hard is it to install?

Thanks,
Zack

Winch on the Power Wagon is a Warn made for Chrysler. Save a bundle of cash and go buy yourself a good winch. If you want it mounted behind the front bumper like the PW, then get the hidden mount made by Warn. Installing a winch mount is 100% bolt on, installing the winch is bolt on & running electric cables. No brainer install.

Since I wanted a Grill & Brush Guard also, I chose the trans4mer system:

I have been toying with getting the trans4mer for my 07, specifically for the winch mounts but they do not have it listed for the 07. Does anyone know why the winch mount will not work on an 07 or was this one a typo? Everything for the trans4mer says it's compatable for the 07 except the winch mount.

Ok I called the dealer the cost of the winch is $1500 and the mount kit is close to $400. I wonder what the cost of a regular Warn winch would be from Warn?

I got my Warn 8000lb. winch for like $549. I believe the hidden mount lists for $199 but I've seen them online for like $139... a 9500# Warn is about $700 give or take.
That $1500 for nothing more than a Warn M9000 winch is HIGHWAY ROBBERY, not to mention the mount for double Warn's MSRP! Hell, I didn't pay $1500 for my Trans4mer System w/ brush guards, w/winch mount PLUS the winch!
You could spend less than that and get the new combo 12,000 lb. winch / 9 cfm compressor!
And MY Warn stuff was by no means cheap, you could save a lot more by going Mile Marker or Superwinch...

BTW Pirata, the mount is not vehicle specific, it mounts directly to the trans4mer brush guard. There are only 2 models - one for the narrower winches for compact size trucks / SUV's / Jeeps and one for the full size trans4mer. So if you can find a Trans4mer to fit your truck, the winch mount will fit it...

Well I stopped at the local 4x4 shop today to ask about their cost for a Warn winch and mount. For the 9000 Warn they want $1600 and the mount would be $450, so Dodge might be cheaper. But that 4x4 shop is usually a rip-off so I will keep checking. I might try to get the sales guy at the dealer to throw the winch in at a dsicount price.

What 9000 were they trying to sell you? The XD9000 lists for $999 and the XD9000i lists for $1099 FULL RETAIL!!!! and the hidden mount MSRP is $299!!!!! and like I said, I've seen that mount online for under $150!

You REALLY need to check out GOWARN.COM

I wouldn't go less than a 9000lb on a full size truck. I have a 8000lb. Warn on my little Ranger.
