2005 Ram HEMI vs. 1973 Camaro
This poll is just for fun. My father used to have a 1973 LT Camaro with these specs:
L-48350V-8 4.00 x 3.48 175hp @ 4000 260tq @ 2800 8.5:1 4V
As copied from the internet. My 2005 1500 RC Hemi has exhaust, intake and a power wire. In the 1/4 mile who would win? My father seemd to think he would have "blown me out of the water" but i think otherwise, seeing as the step up from his Camaro for that year was a Z-28 shown running stock @ 15.2 with 70 more horses. By the way, that camaro has a curb weight of 3,689.

Your truck would smoke it. The LT design wasn't made for speed. It was a touring vehicle with the look that it could go fast. Now if you said he had a SS or a Rally for that year, then we would possibly talk about a different outcome.
Wouldn't matter what options for that year, EVERYTHING was so underpowered and neutered and it wouldn't hang stock. The only F body that could get out of its own way that year was the 455 Firebird.
tell him to look at it this way. in 70, the engine was rated at Gross hp, with the hemi rated at net. which put the hp closer to say 140. Now that seems to say it all, lol
