Default Leveling kit on a 2wd?

Has anyone put a 2" or 1 1/2" leveling kit on a 2wd 1500? I have an 06 1500 2wdsport edition. I have found some leveling kits online but i dont want to mess up the suspensionor the ride.

PS: I do not want to have to get new springs or shocks.

Thanks -Jarrod

Just installed the Daystar 1 1/2' lift on my 07 Ram Hemi QC Sport last week. Gave about 2 to 2 1/4 inch actual lift. Make sure you take out the factory rubber isolators. Some people put them on top, but this WILL cause issue down the road. Greatly improved the front end feel on the road and looks great to boot. Front and rear look just about even. Hope to have pics soon.

This is the first I'v eheard this...I have an 02 reg cab and bought the daystars lift as well...the rubber isolators? or whatever...On the DIY section, there is a great write up on how to...I'll be doing this labor day weekend...Anyone else remove/leave the stock isolators? I haven't been up in there yet, so don't even know what's there...

I didn't install it myself. I was afraid of tearing something up on my new truck. We have a local 4wd shop that did the work. Took those guys about 1hr 20 minutes for the install, plus then checking the wheel alignment and adjusting the headlights. They charged $180.00, but it was worth every penny cause its been brutally hot here the last 4 weeks(103F). You want the Daystar kit for 2wd last 3 digits of the part are 103 and comes in black or red. I got the black, so the dealer doesn't complain in the future. I bought the kit for Truck Candy.com for about $85 including shipping, but lots of places carry this.

I was told by the installer that they could leave the stock rubber isolators but a lot of people complain about squeaking and there could be some slipping of the coil spring due to the isolator being on top of the polyurethane spacer. Daystar also recommends the removal of the isolator. If left in, this actually gives you about 2 1/2 inches of lift. Mine is now a little higher than 2 inches from stock. I'll post some pics soon!
