I have an 06 HEMI and when I'm on the interstate and floor it to pass someone up, my truck makes a LOUD whistling-like sound as it goes thru the higer RPM range...I'm talking 3,500rpms and up to redline. If I had to guess, it sounds like its coming from the intake or exhaust. My intake is stock, my exhaust is a flowmaster instead of the factory muffler and I've had both resonators removed. I've seen some posts on here talk about a whistling noise but all of those seem to involve a throttle body spacer. Anyone else hear this screaming noise at WOT?

 

Did you buy it used? If so some one may have put the airraid throttle body spacer, its really small and you may not have noticed it at first, its small andreddish about a 1/4 inch thick if that. If not, you may have a loose clamp or hose on your intake system or an exhaust leak.

 

yes, I have it at high rpm as well when under full throttle. Bought it new, have had the sound for as long as I can remember.

 

Bought it new here as well, atleast I know its not just me if Djr has it too. Djr, did you do anything with your exhaust? I wondered if it was something with my exhaust since I changed it out right after I bought the truck. If your exhaust is stock, then I know if HAS to be the intake. Wonder if there is anything to do about it. I plan on getting a cold air intake eventually so I wonder if that will take care of it when I do.
