6.1 hemi
I was wonder why they haven't put the 6.1hemi as an option in the ram 1500 trucks. All the other maufactures are making trucks now with the same amout of power. you would think that they would just to give them an edge again.
well...how would you feel if you bought an srt-8 300C, charger, magnum or Grand Cherokee (only vehicles available with the 6.1) and then find out that you could have bought a Ram with the same 6.1 ......if it was me, then i'd be pissed at the fact that just spent $45K+ for this vehicle cause you wanted the 6,1 or whatever and then find out that for, i dunno say $35K, you could have bought the ram and got the 6.1 and been better off.............anyways......the 6.1 might be considered as an option down the line, but when you look at the engine lineup they have for 2009 and also the power increases and new features of the 5.7 I dont think it's gonna be anytime soon....
Because that is a SRT engine. Unless they release a SRT-8 Ram dont expect it.
They put alot more R&D into that engine and I would expect the cost of a Ram with the 6.1 in it would jump $10k.
If I was gonna spend an extra $10k on a truck I would put that into a Turbo, Cam, Heads and or Piston Heads and Rods. Then smoke those 6.1's for less $$$. Hell, only $5000 in a 5.7 will smoke the 6.1L SRT Jeep.
But in a year I will be at the dealer looking at the 2009's and to drive them. If I am impressed I am buying the 2010 model. I never buy year one models. I don't want bugs. I want to drive
