Default 2004 1500 ram w hemi.

Has anyone put true dual exhausts (took out y pipe) run duals all the way back? and a K&N filter kit ? I did low end torque is pretty crappy and gas mileage sucks (11.5 ) anyone else had experience with this?

I have read elsewhere that other have had the very same results. Did you go large on the pipe size, like 2.5 or bigger?

It would probably work half way decent if they wouldn't go way be on the pipe size. If you would go with a 2 inch you'd probably be OK.

Yes they used 2.5" pipe all the way. they put in a x type muffler in front of dual mufflers after initial install it brought back low end torque pretty well, but then I put K&N on and low end was gone again and it was loud through mufflers again. Whats the best thing to do ?get rid of K&N and dually"s any suggestions?
I will probably have to put a y pipe back in and go with a single in ,dual out muffler and tailpipes ?

That seems to be what everyoneis doing to bring it back. The other option is to just leave it and get a PCM programmer for your truck. With that, your improvements may be OK.

I have an 04 Hemi. Dualed out with a 2 Chanber Flow master (2 in and 2 out) with 2 inch pipe. I haven't noticed any loss in power or torque and the gas mile is running 14.7 in the city and 16.5 on the highway if I can drive for a long distance.

Just my .02

Cool. Where did they neck the pipe down at? How far downstream from the converter?

After reading your response I got to thinking and had to go look and it seems I told yall wrong to begin with. What I have is 1, 2 chamber flow master with 1 inlet and 2 outlet and 2 in pipe to the back. what they did was cut right in from of the first (big muffler under the cab) and that is where they placed the flow master. If I had it to do all over again I think I would go with a 3 chamber because it gets a little loud when I'm pulling my boat. Maybe I'm just getting old.
