how much do efans really help, i mean, for a 350 hp motor the drag wouldnt really be that much of an issue right?

Wrong! I thought the same thing, never even gave an e-fan a thought, but I had an opportunity to get one new in a box, that someone had and decided to get rid of their truck before installing it, so I got it for about half the going mail order rate.
A definite noticeable difference, especially accelerating from a dead stop. It also seems to coast forever after you let off the gas, I think this being able to let off the gas way before a stop is accounting for most of my 1.5mpg gain after installing it.

As far as mod go: Dual Exhaust, Tuner, CIA in that order. They will give you the best quick, easy, and not too expensive HP. Then you need to do gears to really feel it on the ole' Butt Dyno.

Like someone has said before, it all adds up

15-20 HP here
5-10 HP there
2-4 HP over yonder

Eventually you will have some good results.

Not bashing you, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents....

I recently started a thread regarding an annoying squeeling in the front of my QC 4.7 PU. It turned out to be the fan clutch.

Making a long story short: Upon placing the new fan on the truck, I noticed how much harder it was to spin the fan. Upon driving it, it was now noticably SLOWER out of the hole, and until the clutch discontinued, it remained slow.

It takes horsepower to drive a fan with a 16-18" diameter, fighting against wind resistance and drawing air through the radiator.

I'm seriously considering throwing the old fan clutch back on to get those HP's back, and just tolorate the noise..........[:@]

E-fan is next.
