Default Looking at an 07. What is your opinion on them????

I love the drive train and know this truck will do everything I want, but I keep hearing they are poorly built and fall apart including the trans. I am looking at a 07 quad cab 4X2 with the HEMI. I plan on picking it up about 7" and adding 35" tires. While it is obviousthe interior is poor, how does it hold up?

i have an 07 Mega Cab with the HEMI and I have not had any type of problem with it at all. I love my truck. I don't care if all the peices fell off I would still love my truck. I have had mine for about 6 months. Can't wait until dodge comes out with something in the mega cab but bigger.

My 07 has 3500 miles and its a piece of ****. The transmission and/or the differnential make differnent whistling and whining noises. My truck sounds like a flute!

I recognize that mine is a lemon. The other trucks I test drove and rented did not have this problem.

The real issue is getting the dealer to take action. I have had multiple dealer visists and they all have said "they all do that" or "yeah I hear it, but we're not going to fix it becaus we dont think there is a problem." They are going to have to replace the tranny to find it which i am sure is very expensive.

NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a vehicle from a company in the throes of bankruptcy!

I read the occasional posts about lemon rams with bad trannies and did not think I would be one of them. Take a serious look at the Tundra -- they have 4K rebate now.

this is why Dodge gets a bad rep.....cause a couple people have problems with the DEALERSHIP not wanting to warranty something....i realize we have some problems, but you cant go around blaming Dodge for everything.....toyota has their flaws as well.....

In another thread a mechanic explained how Dodge limits the ammount of warranty work done. 1) It pays less than other work. 2) Each dealership is given an allowance for discretionary work -- after which regional service reps start requiring authorization for work.

Dealers may want to help, but if the truck is not stranded roadside they will do nothing. They are following guidelines set by Dodge.

I have owned two other new vehicles and Mazda and Honda were VERY willing to fix even minor issues. Here I've got a major system component that is whistling and humming and they do nothing.

I am very unsatisfied with this new truck that I have spent 25K for. I was very satisifed with former Mazda and Honda cars for full period of ownership. I am going to pursue lemon laws until dealer fixes or buys back. Buying a new car s hould be satisfying. This is a pice-o-****.

You're dealer sucks ***!! My dealer fixed ALL my problems that they could. They even went out of their "Dodge guidlines" to do so. They tell you that "We need to get this approved by our headquarters... blah blah blah." and we all know that it is the dealer who chooses if they want to or not. You have some really poor service-minded dealers by you. You cannot blame your problems on Dodge because of your dealer.

On a lighter note, I love my 2007 Ram. The HEMI is much more than I anticipated. It is far more powerful than I thought. Each day that I drive it, it feels as if it got stronger overnight. It's throttle response gets better and better and so forth. I have had a couple problems with my truck (paint chips/dents from the dealer and check engine light) and the dealer fixed them right away. 1 problem was found 3-4 months after the first probelm was found (a dent in my tailgate) and the dealer took my truck in the following day and had it done in 2 days. My check engine light has come on 2 times already. They changed the sensor both times. The tech told me that if it happens one more time and they will tear apart the whole truck to figure it out. If that doesn't do it, I think I'm getting a new one! I would definitely recommend a Ram over any other truck. I personally don't like the interior of the Tundra. Other have their own opinions. I think Chevy and Dodge have the nicest interiors. Other than that, the truck is great!
