Default When should I switch to Synthetic?

I just bought a 07 Hemi Lonestar edition about a 2 weeks to go. I was just wondering if I should go ahead and wait until I brake it in at 3K then switch to synthetic oil or should I go ahead and do it now. Also will it save on gas. The EPA on the sticker said 14 city 19 hwy? Whatever.

The fuel savings, if any, will not be noticable. I waited to change my oil from the stock oil to synthetic at the frist oil change.

I see you have the same truck. Are you not getting the same mileage the EPA says on the sticker?
