Default Lowering shackles for rear end

Just bought an 05 Hemi quad cab last Saturday and found this forum last night. So far love em both. One little thing though is driving me nuts with this truck and that is the hight of the rear end. I like the truck to look level but am not wanting to lower the whole truck just yet. I had a couple of f150s and just bought lowering shakles for the rear which lwered the rear end 2" and got rid of that jacked up look. I have come to realize that the aftermarket is a bit small compared to that for the F150. Can someone point me to a place where I can buy some lowering shakles from. I did see them somewhere online but they said that they might lower the truck 1/2 inch or and 1 1/2 " just depends on the truck. That didn't sound right to me. thanks for any help. Z

The only thing I could find other than a flip kit was 2" drop shackles from Ground Force. It lowered the rear of my regular cab about 1.25". Even though it didn't drop it much, the truck now has a normal "rake" to it. I had before and after pics until I lost my other computer in the hurricane.

It's hard to see but my avatar is the "after" pic.

HHHHHHHuricane shhhhhh don't say that word. I am in Orlando and got hit with all three. Now when I hear the word I start thinking about plywood and how can I store more Gas.

You truck looks good but like you say it is a bit hard to see in the avatar. I am sure it looks a ton better than the stock hight. I wil have to order a set. Did you have to put any shims in the rear end to correct to drivesahft angle? maybe you don't really need to since it's not that much of a drop. Thanks for the input. Z

I didn't use any shims and it seems to be fine.

BTW, plywood doesn't always help!

I went with the ground force 2" shackles also. I like the look and put it next to a co-workers that does'nt have the drop and it does look better. I did lose a bit in ride quality. A little rougher ride.
But I think it was worth it.
It was a simple bolt up, no extra "stuff" needed.
