Has anyone raced or come across one of chevy's vortex max trucks? I was wondering how they compare to the hemi. I know that they are rated at more hp but that does not always mean they are faster. Have not seen any around my town yet but I am looking.

 

The body style before the current ones ran about a 14.8-15.2 totally stock, the newer ones are about a second slower because of weight. The vortec max that cam ein the previous body style chevy is basically a chevy SS. It has all the same drivetrain, it just doesn't have the frilly stuff that comes with the SS. Also, it is called a vortec max, just so you don't mix it up talking to some chevy guy and have him right you off about not knowing about their trucks.

 

Sorry about the misspelling. I have always driven a chevy until a few years ago when I bought my first ram and I am on my second one now and would not trade it for anything. I even converted my buddy who has never owned a dodge until now. I told him that if he took one for a test drive he would buy it, and the rest is history.
